Paperback Pricing Poll

Since paperback was the leader in the format preference poll and I’ve already done the Ebook Pricing Poll I realized that I should do one for that. Please note that the poll prices are in U.S. dollars. I’ve also noticed from the other polls that it might be beneficial to give people more time to vote so this poll will close in about two weeks time (3-10-14). As always, please feel free to leave your feedback or questions in the comments or anywhere else. I look forward to hearing from you. 🙂

  1. The price I’m willing to pay for a paperback really depends on several factors. If it’s a mass market paperback, then definitely no more than $5-10. If it’s a trade paperback and something that I really care about, probably no more than $15. When pricing my own books, I never price them higher than they would be if traditionally published.

I see too many indie authors selling their books at super high prices to make more money, and that’s going to backfire almost every time. Setting fair prices and getting exposure and readers is worth a whole lot more than the extra few bucks they probably aren’t making anyway.
