Write All The Words!

Okay, I might be insane. The thought crossed my mind while I signed up for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), again when I signed up Project Reutsway (via Reuts Publications) and finally, when I decided to try NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month). In case you decided to skip the helpful links provided for you, here is the insanity explained:

  1.  Write 50,000 words or more by the end of November.
  2. Pick up to three out of the four challenges that are going to be provided and write a 2,000 – 5,000 word story. (You can do less than three.)
  3. Write one blog post per day, every day of November.

The way I see it, blog posting can be something I start my day off with that gets me into the state of mind to write for NaNoWriMo. Project Ruetsway is only asking for whatever writing we come up with, so if I only manage one short story out of the four challenges that will be okay. Getting more than one in helps my changes of being chosen for the anthology, but it isn’t necessary. Finally, all of this is supposed to be fun. If at any point I stop having fun, well, it’s just not worth it.

I can’t promise once-a-day posting after November, but this way anyone reading can get to know me (and my work) better. Good luck to anyone else out there who’s participating in any of these events!
